Clover Kids ‘Make a Difference’ at humane society

Clover Kids include: (seated, left to right) Eli, Andrew, Noah, Anna, Annabelle, Laura Ashley, (standing, left to right) Peter, Jacob, and Christopher Henderson County 4-H Clover Kids took part in the National 4-H One Day Make A Difference Day by giving to the Henderson County Humane Society in Athens on Saturday, October 8. They were given a tour and were allowed to play with the dogs and cats that had already been thru a series of tests to be certain they were safe and kid friendly. Clover Kids and other 4-H kids had taken donations of supplies for the animal shelter, which are really needed.
The kids also learned that they can do extra Community Service by going down and helping out with the animals from bathing to feeding and were ever else the shelter people thinks help may be needed. They said that anyone can volunteer to help out from giving time, donations of supplies or money.
The shelters are having lots of animals turned in and need our help too.
If you want to help the Henderson County Humane Society, contact Norma or Amy at 903-677-7387. They too will be most happy to help answer any questions or accept your help with adoptions.
Henderson County 4-H Clover Kids also had visitors from Cedar Creek 4-H to take part with them: Peter and Jacob, and from  Eustace 4-H our  Teen Leaders Laura Ashley and Christopher.
They, along with all of all the clubs in Henderson County, also will be selling tickets for the Adult Leaders & Parents Association Waffle Dinner which will go toward the Scholarship Program, Henderson County Calf Scramble and Henderson County Livestock Show Belt Buckles and other events. The Waffle Dinner will be held on November 1st from 5:30 PM to 8 PM. Please help support the youth of our county, remember they will be our future leaders. The waffles will also be delicious and fellowship with old and new friends will be enjoyed by all. Thanks for viewing!
